Wants: Note Pads

As an Economist I spend most days plotting charts and drawing graphs, I noticed that strangely I'm in only kid in class consistently taking notes on squared paper.  Whats with America's phobia of grid paper?  I guess I took all the papeteries for granted when I lived in Europe, and now I'm really missing quality notebooks like Rhodia and Clairefontaine.  When I saw Rhodia Notepads at McGuckin's Hardware I was excited, then I saw they were $12 each.  Does anyone know where to find quality notebooks online for reasonable prices?

Wants: M65 Jacket

I've been on the hunt for one of these, specifically a Navy colored one.  I'm not looking for a high street brand homage with frilly bits and a thom browne fit.  I know I could buy a Japanese reproduction for way too much money, but I'd rather not.  From what little research I've done if found that Alpha Industries makes a pretty well constructed jacket for $100 + shipping.  So what are your suggestions?

Rides: Range Rover Classic

Forget the Range Rover Sport Supercharged.  How far are you going to get off road on 20" rims?  The original Rangie was a design so classic that it spanned three decades with little change.  Its a real mans car.  Stylish and rugged, it says you have class; but aren't afraid of a little dirt.

Music: Billy Bragg

Sweet muted guitar riffs.  Great songwriter.  Billy Bragg makes music the way it should be made.

Wants: The Divers Watch

Divers Watches are tough and stylish. Heres a few options:

Rolex Submariner
James Bond had one, Steve Mcqueen wore one, enough said.

Omega Seamaster 300 (Vintage)
Here's another case of "they don't make 'em like they used to". The vintage Seamasters have a much cleaner aesthetic than the newer models without all the frills and buttons. You can find millions of fakes on eBay so spotting a genuine one for an affordable price might be tough, but certainly worthwhile.

Stowa Seatime
My favorite of the bunch is the Seatime, theres something so spot on about the design that makes it look so much more rugged than the last two. If you've never heard of Stowa they're a small german watch company with a long history. Jörg Schauer the current owner really pays attention to build quality and its customers. So if you want one of these beauties get on that waiting list fast!
